Day 3 of Bible

"No, this is the kind of fasting i want: Free those who are wrongly imprisoned; lighten the burden of those who work for you. Let the oppressed go free, and remove the chains that bind people.”
Isaiah 58:6

In the beginning of this email the pastor explains his experience being stuck in the snow and how he couldn't move when his house was right in front of where his car was stuck at. Then he goes on and asked these questions.
1.) Have you ever felt stuck in life?
2.) Have you ever been to a place where it just seems like you can't move?
3.) Or have you ever come to a point where you feel like your life just won't ever change?

I think most of us have answered yes to one of these questions before or even now. When we are trapped in the effects of sin we feel as if its the way things will be forever. But God wants us to know that fasting is a believers secret weapon. Fasting can trigger freedom for you and for others.

The kind of fasting that God wants us to do means letting go of that sin. Despite you feeling like you are stuck and never change from it. "The kind of fasting that God wants has everything to do with letting the oppressed go free."
Oppressed means: discouraged, crushed, and hurt but in the new testament the world oppressed means keeping things hidden in your mind.
* you have to let go of all the things that discourage, crush or hurt you in your fast because they could be the things holding you back from Gods full message.
* just like there are toxins in your body that come to surface during your fast (depending on which one. referring to the Daniel Fast and ect.) you will have some ungodly beliefs in your mind that will come to surface during your fast.
* when these beliefs come to surface you have to repent them, and replace them with what God has to say about you.

Remember: What you tolerate, dominates. There are some thoughts you should not tolerate.
